What actually goes wrong
Most bad moves are bad for the same three reasons
The crew was too small for the house. A four-bedroom with a garage is not a two-man job, and when it is quoted as one the day runs into the evening and the hourly total climbs past the estimate. We size the crew to the property before we quote, which is why we ask how many bedrooms rather than how many boxes.
Nothing was wrapped. Blankets and shrink wrap are not an upsell on our jobs. Dressers get wrapped with the drawers in, sofas get covered before they go through a doorframe, and the floors get runners. Damage almost always happens in the doorway, not on the road.
The access was never checked. Third-floor walk-ups, gated communities with a delivery window, driveways a 26-foot truck cannot back down, HOA rules about where a truck may park overnight. We have been moving Washington and Iron county homes since 2012, so in most cases we already know — and where we do not, we ask before the day rather than on it.

How local moves are priced
Local moves are billed hourly with a crew size agreed up front. Tell us what you're moving and we'll quote it.
Two things move that number more than anything else: how much there is, and how hard it is to get to. A three-bedroom with a lift and a loading bay and a three-bedroom at the top of a flight of outdoor stairs are not the same job, however identical the inventory looks on paper.
So the estimate asks about access, not just bedrooms. For anything large or awkward we would rather do a walkthrough — in person or over video — than quote blind and revise it on the day.

Residential moving questions
Do I need to empty the drawers?
Not usually for clothing in a dresser — we wrap it with the drawers in and it travels fine. Empty anything with liquid, anything breakable, and desk drawers with heavy contents. If you are unsure about a specific piece, ask when we quote.
Will you move things into the garage or the attic?
Garage, yes. Attics and crawl spaces we handle case by case — it depends on the access, the ladder and what the item is. Flag it up front and we will tell you plainly whether we can.
What if my closing date moves?
Tell us as soon as you know. Dates slip on property all the time and we would rather reschedule than have a crew arrive at a house you cannot get into. If the gap leaves you with nowhere to put your things, we can hold them — see storage in transit.
Can you do just the heavy items?
Yes. Plenty of people move the boxes themselves in a car over a week and hire us for the furniture in a single afternoon. That is a labour-only job — see loading and unloading.
Do you move on weekends?
Yes, Monday to Saturday with evening and weekend scheduling available. Saturdays and month-ends book out first in this market, so hold the date early if it has to be a weekend.
