Where we came from
An established company working a new part of the state
Just-In-Time Moving started in St. George in 2012. Justin and Miranda have run it as a family business for more than fourteen years — thousands of moves, over 266 five-star reviews, and a 4.9-star average.
The Northern Utah side of the business is newer than the company, and it is worth saying that rather than blurring it. What you are hiring on the Wasatch Front is an established operation working a newer territory: the same owners, the same standards, the same insurance and the same way of doing the job. Not a franchise, and not a brand-new outfit that happens to share a name.
The reason for coming north was not really expansion. It was the corridor. We were already driving households from Salt Lake County down to Washington County constantly, and doing it properly meant having crews at both ends rather than handing shipments to a carrier halfway.
What that actually means on the day
Family-owned is a claim everybody makes. Here is the cash version.
- The owners are reachable. If something goes wrong on your move you are not filing a ticket with a call centre in another state.
- The crews are ours, not day labour hired for the morning. Licensed, insured and background-checked.
- We would rather turn a job down than take one we cannot staff properly — which is why we will not promise a slot the dispatcher has not confirmed.
- Nobody is working to a commission that rewards talking you into more service than you need. Labour-only is a perfectly good answer and we say so.
- On a long move, the people who wrapped your things are the people who carry them back in.
The unusual bit
Both ends of I-15
Most moving companies work one metro. That is normal, and it is why a Salt Lake to St. George move usually involves a local crew, a line-haul carrier and a third crew nobody has met.
Because we run Southern Utah as well, the same truck and the same crew can do the whole thing. It is the one thing about this company that a competitor at either end genuinely cannot copy without building a second operation three hundred miles away.
What customers say
The review record
These are company reviews, earned at both ends of the state. Nobody here has been relabelled as a Northern Utah customer who was not one — as Wasatch Front jobs run, those will appear alongside them.
“Best moving company I have ever had. These guys took a stressful situation and made it easy. Well done Just in Time Moving!”
“We have used Just-In Time moving twice now and will NEVER use anyone else! Super fast, efficient, and every worker we've met has been so kind!”
“Justin and his crew were punctual and professional. They took great care of all our belongings and made sure everything was placed where we desired.”
“Just In Time is phenomenal! Hard working, on time, honest and fair. The guys didn't leave until they knew we were set up and ready to go.”
The rest of the family
Move it. Store it. Sell it.
Three businesses that exist because moving households kept running into the same three problems.
Just-In Time Warehousing
Furniture receiving, warehousing and storage — which is what makes a gap between closing dates survivable instead of a crisis.
Just-In Time Consignment
A consignment showroom, because we kept watching good furniture get abandoned in the last three days of a move for want of anywhere to send it.
