We are not going to put an hourly rate on a website for a house we have not seen. What we will do is tell you exactly what a quote is built from, so you can compare ours against anyone else’s properly.

Local moves are billed hourly with a crew size agreed up front. Tell us what you're moving and we'll quote it.
Long-distance and I-15 corridor moves are quoted per job instead, because over that distance an hourly rate tells you nothing useful about what you will actually pay. Specialty items — a piano, a gun safe, a hot tub — are quoted on the item and the access.
Why there is no rate card here
Because the number on its own would mislead you
An hourly figure means nothing without knowing how many people it buys, whether a truck is included, whether travel time is charged, whether materials are extra and what the minimum is. Two companies quoting the same rate can produce invoices that differ by half.
That is why comparing movers on a headline rate is close to useless, and why the cheapest rate on a website is so often not the cheapest move. What is worth comparing is the whole quote for your actual job, in writing, with the crew size on it.
Ask us and you get that. Ask anyone else and you should expect the same — if they will not put a crew size next to a number, that is worth noticing.
The variables
What actually changes a moving quote
In roughly the order they matter. None of these are surprises if we look at the job first.

Spending less
Three honest ways to bring the cost down
We would rather tell you these than have you find out afterwards.
Book labour only
If you have a truck or a container, book us for the loading and drive it yourself. It is the single biggest saving available and it is a perfectly good way to use us.
Clear out first
Paying to wrap, carry, drive and unload things you then decide you did not want is the most expensive mistake in moving, and it is entirely avoidable.
Move mid-month or in winter
Availability drives scheduling pressure. Mid-week, mid-month and November-to-March dates are markedly easier to book than a Saturday at the end of July.
Pricing questions
Can you give me a price over the phone?
For a small or straightforward job, often yes. For a full house we would rather do a walkthrough — in person or on video — because a phone guess is the thing that gets revised on the day, and that is a bad experience for everyone.
Is the estimate binding?
We will tell you exactly what kind of estimate you are getting and what would change it. What we will not do is quote low to win the job and then discover extra on the morning.
Do you charge for travel time?
Ask when you enquire and we will tell you plainly for your job rather than leaving it to be discovered on the invoice.
What does a corridor move to St. George cost?
Quoted per job. We have deliberately not put a corridor figure on this page, because a number for a move we have not surveyed is a guess dressed up as a price. Send the two addresses and roughly what is in the house and you will get a real one.
Do prices vary by city?
No. What varies is the job — volume, access, distance and timing. Two moves in the same city can be very different jobs, and two in different cities can be identical.

Ask when booking and we will confirm what is required for your job before you commit to anything.
