Draining, and the cold

Drain it fully at least a day ahead, and fully means more than the shell. Water sits in the pipework, the pump housing and the heater after the tub looks empty. That residual water is weight in unpredictable places and a mess in the back of a truck.

In the colder months there is a second reason. Water left in the lines of a spa sitting disconnected can freeze, and that damages a working tub before it has even been loaded. Blow the lines out if you have the means, and do not leave a drained tub waiting days for a move date in freezing weather.

Power, and photographs

A hard-wired spa needs an electrician to disconnect it at the panel, and again to reconnect it at the other end. Arrange both when you book rather than on the day.

Then send photographs: the tub in place, the gate, the tightest point of the route, and the deck if there is one. Five minutes on your phone gets you a far more accurate estimate than any description.
