What to tell us
What the item is, roughly how big and how heavy. Photographs help more than a description, particularly of the piece and of the doorway or stairs at each end.
Whether it comes apart, and whether it was assembled in the room it stands in, which frequently means it must be dismantled to leave.
Stairs at both ends, and how far a vehicle can park from each door.
Whether anything is fragile, valuable or has existing damage.
What we bring
Dollies, straps, blankets and floor protection. Standard disassembly and reassembly is included.
Say if a floor is new or recently refinished, and we will bring appropriate protection for the route.
Local particulars
Many communities here have rules about vehicle access and permitted hours, and some require a certificate of insurance even for a delivery. Check with your association and tell us.
In summer, we would rather work early. Heat slows a job and is hard on anything with adhesive, so if a piece is valuable it may be better in an air-conditioned vehicle than a truck.
We will tell you if you do not need us
If the job is genuinely a car and two people, we will say so. That is a shorter conversation than a booking you resented paying for.

Marketplace collections
A large share of this work is collecting something bought privately. Two things make those go well: ask the seller in advance to clear the route and move anything breakable, and photograph the item before it is lifted, including anything already loose or marked.
Secondhand furniture frequently has loose joints, and a piece that was already loose can fail in transit without being handled badly. A photograph beforehand turns an argument into a comparison.
