What a piano move actually involves
An upright goes onto a piano dolly, secured, and moves on that rather than being pushed on its own casters. Those casters are for appearance rather than travel; rolling on them marks floors and can snap, dropping a corner of several hundred pounds.
A grand is not moved as it stands. The lid is secured, the lyre with the pedals removed, the instrument lowered onto its bass side onto a padded board and strapped to it, and the legs come off only once the weight is on the board.
Floors and doorframes get protected. Routes get measured beforehand rather than tested on the day.

The instrument should be tuned once it has settled in its new position, generally after two to four weeks rather than immediately. That is normal rather than a sign anything went wrong; pianos respond to position, temperature and humidity.
