Just-In-Time Moving provides labour-only crews throughout Washington, Utah, St. George, Hurricane and Washington County.

What we do on a labour-only job

Load and unload a rental truck, trailer or portable container you have arranged. Carry between a property and the vehicle. Disassemble and reassemble standard furniture. Move heavy items within a house, between floors, or into storage. Stage a load properly and secure it.

Loading is the part people underestimate. Anybody can put boxes in a truck; loading one in tiers so nothing shifts on the freeway is the actual skill you are hiring.

What we do not do

Drive your rental truck. The rental agreement names authorised drivers and our crew is not among them. That is contractual rather than a preference.

Supply the truck, boxes, tape or packing material. We bring dollies, straps and blankets for handling. Consumables are yours.

Connect or disconnect utilities, gas or plumbing.

Take responsibility for how you packed. Where you seal a box, nobody can establish what went in or how, which is why owner-packed contents are treated differently.

Move hazardous material. Fuel, propane, chemicals and ammunition do not travel.

What it costs

Hourly with a minimum. Ask what the minimum is and how travel is counted, since on a short job those matter more than the rate.

The way to keep it down is to be genuinely ready: everything packed, sealed and staged near the door before we arrive. Paid time spent waiting is the commonest waste on these jobs.

Tell us when booking

The truck or container size, stairs at both ends, roughly what there is including the garage, anything unusually heavy, and whether the packing will actually be finished.

Also any HOA rules about vehicle size and permitted hours, which around here frequently apply.

Summer

Ask for the earliest start. Heat measurably slows loading, and on an hourly booking that is money. Have water available at both ends.

Licensed in Utah and insured, with certificates on request. Estimates free and in writing.

Containers and storage units

We load and unload portable containers as well as rental trucks. A container is loaded differently, because it gets lifted, set on a carrier and possibly stored, so it experiences tilting and vertical movement a truck never does. Everything has to be built in tiers and strapped to the rails rather than merely stacked neatly.

Storage units want the same discipline plus one addition: leave an aisle from the door to the back wall, or you cannot reach anything later without emptying the unit into the corridor.
