Affordable Office Movers
West Valley City, Utah
Most businesses move furniture they will never use again, and it is the easiest cost to remove from the job.
Almost every office move includes furniture that is going to a new building for no better reason than that it was in the old one. Desks nobody sits at, chairs that were replaced, filing cabinets emptied years ago, and a store room of accumulated equipment.
Moving it costs money twice, because it takes space on the truck and then takes space you are paying rent on.
Just-In-Time Moving handles commercial moves across West Valley City and Salt Lake County.
Decide before you count, not after
The right sequence is to decide what is going, then have the move quoted on that. Most businesses do it the other way round and quote the whole building.
Walk the office against the new floor plan and mark every item as going, or not. Anything you cannot place in the new space is not going, and that decision is much easier to make in advance than on the day.
Selling
Realistic for recognisable commercial brands in good condition, height-adjustable desks, decent task chairs and conference tables. There is a genuine secondhand market for those.
Not realistic for generic laminate desks, worn fabric chairs, or anything damaged. Listing those consumes time you do not have during a move and produces nothing.
Some used office furniture dealers will buy a quantity as a lot and collect it, which is worth a call if you have twenty desks rather than two. Expect a low figure; the value is that it leaves without you handling it.
Donating
Schools, churches, charities and small non-profits genuinely want serviceable desks, chairs and shelving, and it is a considerably better outcome than a transfer station.
Two practical points: ask before assuming, since organisations are selective and storage-limited; and arrange collection or delivery specifically, because a donation that requires you to transport it during a move rarely happens.
Ask about a receipt if the deduction matters to your business.

Disposing
What is left. Old cubicle systems, broken furniture, and anything nobody will take. This is normal and not a failure of the process.
Handle it in one hauling visit before the move rather than moving it and dealing with it later, which is what most businesses do and what costs the most.
Do it in this order
Decide, then sell or donate what has a taker, then haul the remainder, then move. Each step reduces the one after it.
We do both the hauling and the move, and can quote them together. The estimate is free and in writing.

What's Included
Office Movers — FAQ
How do I reduce what an office move costs?
Decide what is going before the move is quoted rather than after. Walk the office against the new floor plan and mark each item going or not. Anything you cannot place in the new space is not going, and surplus costs you twice.
What office furniture is actually sellable?
Recognisable commercial brands in good condition, height-adjustable desks, decent task chairs and conference tables. Generic laminate desks and worn chairs are not worth the listing time. Used furniture dealers will sometimes buy a quantity as a lot.
In what order should I do it?
Decide, then sell or donate what has a taker, then haul the remainder in one visit before the move, then move. Each step reduces the one after it, and hauling first is much cheaper than moving surplus and dealing with it later.
