Schools, churches, charities and small non-profits genuinely want serviceable desks, chairs and shelving, and it is a considerably better outcome than a transfer station.
Two practical points: ask before assuming, since organisations are selective and storage-limited; and arrange collection or delivery specifically, because a donation that requires you to transport it during a move rarely happens.
Ask about a receipt if the deduction matters to your business.
Disposing
What is left. Old cubicle systems, broken furniture, and anything nobody will take. This is normal and not a failure of the process.
Handle it in one hauling visit before the move rather than moving it and dealing with it later, which is what most businesses do and what costs the most.
