Every moving company describes itself in the same terms, which makes the descriptions useless for choosing between them. What does distinguish companies is whether they can handle the specific house you live in, and you can test that in one phone call.
Just-In-Time Moving is locally owned and works throughout Salt Lake City and Salt Lake County.
Ask about your house, not about them
The most revealing question is not whether a company is good. It is how they answer a question about your particular property.
If you are in an older house in The Avenues or Capitol Hill, ask what they do about a staircase that turns at the bottom, and about street parking with no driveway and a carry uphill from the truck. If you have a finished basement, ask how they handle getting a sofa up narrow basement stairs.
A company that works these neighbourhoods regularly answers with specifics: what they ask you to measure, what changes the crew size, what they would want to see a photograph of. A company that answers in generalities has not thought about it and will think about it on your move day instead.
Four things worth verifying
Licensing and insurance, shown rather than asserted. We are licensed in Utah and carry general liability insurance. If you are moving into a managed building you will need a certificate anyway.
A written estimate. A number over the phone is not an estimate, and it leaves no record of what was agreed.
Whether they do the move themselves or pass it to another operator. A fair question with a straight answer.
Whether they asked you anything. Stairs at both ends, parking, the distance from the truck, anything unusually heavy. A quote produced without those is a guess.
The signal most people miss
Notice whether a company will tell you something unwelcome.
That your date is difficult. That a piece of furniture may not come out of that room whole. That labor-only might suit you better than a full service move. That a job may need two days rather than one.
A company describing reality is more useful than one winning a booking, and it is the best available indication of how the awkward moments on the day will be handled.

What to have ready
Both addresses and the access at each. An honest description of everything coming, including the garage and basement. Your dates and how firm they are. Anything heavy or unusual.
The estimate is free and in writing, seven days a week including evenings.
Call (435) 862-3080 or email office@movingjustintime.com and ask us any of the above.
