Before working out how to move it, it is worth working out whether you should.

The honest calculation
Four things to weigh.
Does a route exist at both ends? This comes before everything. Plenty of spas were craned in or installed before a fence or deck existed. Measure the narrowest point of the route at the current property and, if you can, at the destination. If either fails, the decision is made for you.
Is there somewhere for it to go? It needs a level, solid, continuous base: a concrete pad, a deck built to carry it, or purpose-made panels. Grass, soil and gravel are not bases. If that does not exist at the new address, add the cost and the time of creating it.
Does the electrical supply reach? A hard-wired spa needs a circuit where the tub is going, which may not exist at the new house.
How old is it? The one people skip. A spa near the end of its life is a poor candidate for the disruption of a move, and the cost of moving it may exceed what a comparable used one would cost.
If it is staying
Agree it explicitly in the sale rather than by assumption in either direction. A hot tub is exactly the kind of item where one party assumes it conveys and the other assumes it does not, and the walkthrough is a bad time to find out.
Get it in writing, and leave any manuals and equipment details with it.
If it is coming
Drain it fully at least a day ahead, meaning the pipework, pump and heater rather than just the shell. In cold weather do not leave a drained tub disconnected for days, because water in the lines can freeze and damage it before it is loaded.
Arrange an electrician for disconnection and reconnection at both ends.
Send photographs of the tub in place, the gate, the tightest point of the route, and the destination with its base. Five minutes on your phone gets a far more accurate answer than any description.

Should we take the hot tub with us?
