Moving a Farm or Ranch Operation
The house is the small part. The shop, the office and forty years of accumulated equipment are the job.
Why Cedar City Families & Businesses Choose Us
Fully Licensed & Insured

Background-Checked Crew
Every Just-In-Time Moving crew member is background-checked, uniformed, and trained in proper lifting, furniture protection, and customer service.
Agriculture is part of how Iron County works, and when an operation relocates or a property changes hands, the moving job is unlike anything in town.
Just-In-Time Moving is locally owned and works throughout Cedar City, Enoch, Parowan and the surrounding county.
What we handle, and what we do not
We do: household contents, the office including records and equipment, shop contents, hand tools, benches, shelving, tack, small equipment, and hauling for what is not coming.
We do not: transport livestock or animals, move implements and machinery that require a low-loader or specialist haulage, handle fuel, chemicals or compressed gas, or do rigging.
Those all have their own trades, and on a property move they are usually arranged separately. Sorting out who covers what before the day prevents the most common problem on these jobs.
The shop is where the volume is
Farm and ranch workshops accumulate. Hand tools, power tools, spares, fasteners, fencing materials, irrigation fittings, welding equipment, oils and consumables.
Two pieces of practical advice. Empty toolboxes and cabinets rather than moving them loaded, since a loaded chest is frequently unmovable. And sort the spares seriously: parts kept for equipment sold years ago are pure weight.
Scrap metal has real value and should be separated rather than hauled mixed.
Records and the office
An agricultural operation carries paperwork that matters: breeding and herd records, water rights documentation, grazing agreements, equipment titles, tax and financial records.
Those should travel with the family rather than on a truck, in one clearly identified box. Water rights and title documents especially, since they are difficult to reconstruct.
Do the same search a household move needs: documents in a long-occupied property are rarely in one place.

Hazardous material
Fuel, diesel, oils, coolants, pesticides, herbicides, veterinary medicines and compressed gas cylinders do not travel on a moving truck. Arrange these separately and drain fuel from anything powered that we are moving.
Access
Tell us honestly about the approach: drive length and surface, turning space, gates, cattle guards, weight limits and slope. On a working property, gate discipline matters, and we would rather be briefed than guess.
Winter can make a rural approach impassable, so build flexibility into a cold-season date.
