Personal belongings are the hard part
In a fully occupied office, everybody clears their own desk. When people are in twice a week, some will not be in before the move at all, and their belongings still have to go somewhere.
The approach that works: give every person a labelled crate, set a deadline that falls at least a week before the move, and be explicit that anything not packed by then will be packed by somebody else.
Then actually pack what is left rather than leaving it, and keep it as a labelled crate per person rather than a general box. Somebody returning three weeks later should be able to find their things.
Do not throw anything away on somebody's behalf. It is not worth the one time you are wrong.
Hot desks change the labelling
If the new space has shared or unassigned desks, equipment cannot be labelled by owner. It has to be labelled by position, and somebody has to decide that mapping before the day rather than during it.
Monitors, docks and peripherals should still be kept together as sets rather than pooled, so that a desk arrives complete instead of somebody hunting for a second cable.
Tell people what to expect
An underrated part of these moves. People who were not there will arrive to a building they have not seen, and the questions are entirely predictable: where do I sit, where do I park, how do I get in, where is my crate, is the network working.
Answering those in one message beforehand saves an enormous amount of disruption on the first day back.

Sketch the destination layout and label by where things are going. Technology decisions belong with whoever runs your systems, a week out.
